Yoga and Meditation

Yoga

Moving meditation

Yoga is an ancient, spiritual practice rooted in Indian philosophy that integrates physical postures (asanas), breathing techniques (pranayama), and meditation (dyana). The practice of yoga has evolved into a wide variety of styles, and can be described as a ‘moving meditation’, as it aligns the body and the mind, and promotes physical and mental well-being.

The benefits of yoga include:

  • Improving general wellness by relieving stress, supporting good health habits, and encouraging a life of balance.
  • Improved quality of sleep
  • Help manage symptoms of anxiety and depression and enhancing mental/emotional health
  • Assisting individuals with chronic pain and diseases in managing symptoms and improving their overall quality of life.

Whether you’re new to yoga or returning after a long break, yoga offers a nurturing space to come home to yourself, one breath and one movement at a time.

Trauma-Informed Yoga

Gentle movement and mindful awareness for healing and safety.

Trauma-informed yoga is a compassionate approach to yoga that recognises how trauma impacts the body, mind, and nervous system. Unlike traditional yoga classes, it creates a safe, supportive environment where you can reconnect with your body at your own pace, without pressure or judgement.

Trauma-informed yoga focuses on:

  • Safety and choice— empowering you to listen to your body and set your own boundaries
  • Mindful awareness— cultivating gentle attention to breath, sensation, and movement
  • Nervous system regulation— using grounding techniques to calm anxiety and build resilience
  • Empowerment— encouraging self-compassion and reconnecting with your inner strength

Trauma-informed yoga is designed to support people healing from PTSD, anxiety, chronic stress, and other emotional wounds. It helps release tension stored in the body and rebuild a sense of safety and control.

Breathing and Meditation

Calm your mind, balance your body, and find inner peace.

Breathing and meditation are powerful tools to help reduce stress, improve focus, and support emotional wellbeing. These practices encourage you to slow down, tune in to the present moment, and reconnect with your body and mind.

Benefits include:

  • Lowered anxiety and stress levels
  • Improved sleep and relaxation
  • Enhanced mental clarity and focus
  • Greater emotional regulation
  • Support for nervous system balance

Breathing techniques teach you how to use your breath intentionally — calming your nervous system and anchoring your awareness.

Meditation offers a space to observe your thoughts without judgement, cultivating mindfulness and calm. Whether you’re new to these practices or looking to deepen your experience, breathing and meditation can be easily integrated into daily life to promote lasting wellbeing.
